COACHED SWIMMING AND OPEN WATER/TRIATHLON SWIMMING We are a lesbian/gay/bi and straight-friendly masters team in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 1992 as Colorado Whitewater Aquatics by a group of athletes preparing for Gay Games '94, more than 80 members now participate in swimming, water-polo, and open water/triathletes swimming. Occasionally, some members would compete in springboard diving and Pink Flamingo water ballet at the International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics (IGLA) meets/events. Our members include top-notch competitive athletes, fitness swimmers, and some members who just like to join in our social activities. We welcome anyone, regardless of sexual orientation, to our workouts. Whatever the reasons for joining, you'll find that we have great workouts, fun social events, and exciting competitions. We participate in local meets with other masters teams in Colorado, and national and international competitions with other lesbian/gay swim teams. We're a member of United States Masters Swimming (USMS) and its local branch, Colorado Masters Swimming Association (COMSA). We're also a member of International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics (IGLA), which includes dozens of gay and lesbian teams from across the US and around the world.
